We always ship the largest lily bulbs available. Average size for orientals is 16/18 cm, asiatic & LA bulbs 12/16 cm. (These measurements indicate the circumference of the lily bulb.) Orienpet & Aurelian/Asiatic bulb sizes vary dramatically but in most cases are the same as the orientals at 16/18 cm. Many bulbs are naturally smaller (like species lilies), and some are naturally larger. Often we will place an extra lily bulb in the bag if we feel the particular variety is a little on the small side. Each bulb is labeled on the bag, indicating the same information you will find in the lily catalog. Bulbs are packed in vermiculite, sawdust or peat moss, which can be mixed with the soil at planting time. Planting instructions for lily bulbs are included with each order.
We guarantee all lily bulbs will bloom the first year and be true to name. Mistakes can happen, mix-ups occur and if your bulb blooms other than as named, please contact us and we will gladly replace it with the correct variety, a selection of your choice, or issue a credit.
We also guarantee all bulbs will arrive in prime planting condition. Occasionally a lily bulb can spoil during transit, particularly under warm shipping temperatures. We will replace spoiled bulbs upon their return to us, within 14 days of your receiving them. We do not replace lily bulbs for failure to grow, as growing & planting conditions are beyond our control. It is your responsibility to inspect all bulbs upon arrival and to notify us immediately of any problems. It is also your responsibility to plant lily bulbs immediately.
Rest assured we do not substitute varieties unless you specifically indicate it is acceptable to do so when you order.
Please notify us if you intend to return lily bulbs, so we may discuss and arrange the return in the most timely and efficient manner. Please read our RETURNS Policy before returning anything.
