Scheherazade OT lily
Scheherazade OT lily

As promised by the breeder of this orienpet (OT) lily, it keeps getting stronger and stronger over time. After 6-7 years in our gardens, it established itself and multiplied readily under varied conditions. Deep red recurved petals edged in gold, same in the throat. Another NALS popularity poll winner! Stems grow 1 to 2M tall, blooming in August. Proven hardy on the Prairies, although we would still recommend mulching in Fall if you have not tried Orienpets before. This one has overwintered more than 15 years now in our zone 3 garden, although it has never exceeded 1.4M in height. But we do indeed need a small saw to chop the stems down in fall!
