After 10 years in our garden, this one has definitely proven itself. Growing the entire time with no extra winter protection, at the top of a windy incline in the wide open. It has really stood out, prompting many a question from visitors about its identity. Having lost its label, we were unable to identify it until 2008. Grows 1.1 M tall, it blooms late July to mid August. NOT the same as variety registered with RHS, which is listed as an asiatic - this is clearly an OT as well as being side to downfacing.
- VIIIb-c Orienpet
- Not registered; not to be confused with an asiatic already registered with this same name
