Our Facebook followers were introduced to this lily in 2013 when we held a contest to name it. First we took entries for a name, then we narrowed it down to 3 choices and had the fans vote on it. The lucky winner received 3 bulbs in Fall 2013 and we held a random draw for anyone who voted to receive one as well. Thus, the name Erin Kate was chosen!
She is a beautiful raspberry-red with loads of red spots and a flash of creamy yellow in the center of each petal. The throat has raised papillae with a slight frosting. She grows to 1.3 M tall, blooming mid to late July with up to 20 flowers per stem, on average 15. Note that she does not like soggy 'feet', so plant where there is excellent drainage or she will rot on you!
